Cabin Value Comparator
Compare up to four cabin options side by side on more than just the sticker price — see which one actually gives you the most space and category per dollar.
How the value score works
The score combines usable space (cabin square footage plus half the balcony square footage, since a balcony isn't fully enclosed living space) with a view-category multiplier and a small deck-level adjustment, then divides by price per night. A higher score means more effective space and category per dollar — not simply the cheapest cabin.
Why a cheaper interior can still "win"
A balcony or suite often scores well on space and category, but if it costs disproportionately more per night, a well-priced interior or ocean view can still come out ahead on pure value. Use the ranking as a starting point, not the final word — factor in how much you personally value natural light or private outdoor space.
Frequently asked questions
Why does balcony square footage only count at half weight?
A balcony is outdoor space you can't fully use in all weather and isn't enclosed living area the way a cabin interior is, so it's weighted at half value rather than counted the same as interior square footage.
Does deck level matter much to the score?
Only a little — it's a small multiplier (±2%) reflecting that higher decks sometimes carry a price premium for view or feel, while lower/mid decks tend to feel steadier in motion. For a deeper look at motion comfort by deck, see the seasickness risk estimator.
Can I compare fewer than four cabins?
Yes — leave a cabin's price and square footage at 0 and it's automatically left out of the ranking.
