Why local processing matters
Every tool in ImageEditKit runs the entire edit — resizing, compressing, cropping, watermarking, compositing, sampling colors — inside your own browser tab using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your photo is read from disk with the File API, drawn onto an in-memory canvas, transformed, and handed back to you as a downloadable file. At no point does the image data get sent over the network to any server. That means no upload wait, no third party ever seeing a personal photo, and tools that keep working even if you're offline once the page has loaded.
