Image Resizer
Resize any photo to the exact pixels you need.
Pixels in, pixels out — no server involved
Upload a photo and this tool draws it onto an HTML5 canvas at whatever width and height you choose, then lets you download the result as a new image file. Nothing is ever sent anywhere — the resize happens in memory in your browser tab.
Exact dimensions or a quick percentage
Enter a precise pixel width and height with aspect ratio locked, type a percentage to scale the whole image up or down, or pick a ready-made social media preset. All three methods update the same live preview so you can see exactly what you'll download.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing distort my image?
Only if you type in a width and height that don't match the original proportions, or pick a preset with a different aspect ratio. Turn on “lock aspect ratio” and the height updates automatically whenever you change the width (and vice versa), so the image stays proportional.
What do the social media presets actually do?
Each preset sets the exact pixel dimensions a platform recommends for that placement — for example 1080×1080 for an Instagram square post or 1280×720 for a YouTube thumbnail. If your source photo has a different aspect ratio, the image is stretched to fill those exact dimensions, so start from an image already close to the target ratio for the cleanest result.
Does resizing reduce file size too?
Usually, yes — fewer pixels generally means a smaller file, and the estimated file size updates live as you resize. If you need a specific file size rather than just smaller dimensions, pair this with the Image Compressor tool.
Is there a maximum size limit?
The tool supports outputs up to 8000 pixels on a side, which covers virtually every web, print and social use case. Very large source photos may take a moment longer to process since everything happens on your own device.
