World Clock
Live time across the world — updated every second.
UTC and GMT
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the global standard. GMT is the same offset (UTC+0) used as a zone name. For everyday purposes they're identical.
DST
The clock always shows the current offset, automatically accounting for Daylight Saving Time in effect right now.
Frequently asked questions
Why do some cities show half-hour offsets?
India (UTC+5:30), Iran (UTC+3:30), Nepal (UTC+5:45) and others use non-integer offsets for historical reasons.
What does the colour indicator mean?
A green dot means the city is currently within typical business hours (09:00–17:00 on a weekday).
Why is the time different from what I expected?
DST rules change. If a country recently changed its rules, your browser's timezone database updates with OS updates.
What does IST mean?
IST is ambiguous: Indian Standard Time (UTC+5:30), Irish Standard Time (UTC+1), or Israel Standard Time (UTC+2). This tool shows the full IANA zone name to avoid confusion.
